08-12-2015 - Three Requests

Greetings Friends,
As most of you know, my husband, Chuck, and I both retired and sailed our 42 foot Hunter sailboat south in September 2014. During the fall, winter and spring we traveled through all of the east coast states south of CT, spent considerable time in FL, and then in April we sailed across the Gulf Stream, the largest and strongest ocean river, to visit the Abacos in the northern Bahamas. In mid-May we sailed back to the US, spent a few more days in FL, then started north and arrived home in mid-June.
While we were away, I eventually got the hang of this blog thing. Sort of. I have posted many entries about our travels, most of which also contain pictures. Along the way it was difficult to find uninterrupted time to put info together, and it was especially difficult to find adequate internet connections to load the data to the blog site. While we have our own connectivity in the US, it doesn’t work everywhere, and when it does, it’s maddeningly slow – select a photo, make a cup of tea while it loads, select another photo, go brush my teeth while it loads, and so on. It wasn’t until we were at Solomon’s Island in the Chesapeake, on the way home, that I discovered the magic of public library wifi, which is lightning fast. I’m still adding pieces now, and I try to change the “posted” date after the first few days, to move the posts into chronological order.
Here is the address of the blog:
And here are a few requests:
1.  My first request is that you look at the bottom right side of the blog for the “Blog Archive” (table of contents) area, and read anything that interests you. Note that older posts may have been added since you last looked at the blog.
Did you know that you can double click on pictures within each post to see an expanded view?
And please feel free to post comments or questions.
2. Secondly, please look at the upper right for the “Follow by Email” (sign up) section and sign up! This will ensure that you are notified of future new posts by email. This was not present until I learned how to do it in April. I’m still adding posts from this trip, and there will be posts from future trips and adventures.
3. Thirdly, when I got a new cell phone in May, the transfer of my contact info was done incorrectly and I lost all of the contacts that I added in the past 7-10 years, which includes many of you. (Thanks a lot, Verizon...) So please send your contact info (preferred phone number(s)) to me at my personal email address: SandraLGordon@yahoo.com

Thanks!
